Profile

Dr Tong Carmen is a Consultant with the Department of General Obstetrics and Gynaecology in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). She graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2013. She embarked on training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at KKH in 2014 and attained her Membership of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MRCOG) from UK in 2018. She obtained her Master of Medicine (MMed O&G) in 2018 and her Specialist accreditation from the Singapore Medical Council.

Dr Tong is well versed in Obstetric care for pregnant patients and is dedicated to supporting them in their pregnancy journey. She is also proficient in management of Gynaecological conditions such as fibroids or ovarian cysts. She also has special interests in colposcopy, the treatment of benign or pre-cancerous lesions of the cervix as well as outpatient hysteroscopy. She strives to provide holistic, gentle, patient-centric and professional care to her patients.

For her dedication to patient care and teaching, Dr Tong was awarded the Service From The Heart Award in 2018-2019, and the NUS YLL MedACE 2020 Junior Doctor teaching award in 2020. Dr Tong is also actively involved in Undergraduate Education and is a Clinical tutor for SingHealth-Duke NUS Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
