Profile

Dr Zhang is an Associate Consultant with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and completed his orthopaedic training and dual sub-specialty fellowship trainings at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, UK. He specialises in complex extremity trauma as well as shoulder and elbow surgeries, ranging from joint stabilisation, preservation, to reconstruction techniques. His interests also lie in upper limb reconstruction, shoulder and elbow arthroscopic surgery, tendon/ligament/rotator cuff repairs and complex primary arthroplasties. Additionally, Dr Zhang runs a general orthopaedic, trauma, shoulder, and elbow clinic at CGH.

Dr Zhang qualified as a fellow in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2018 and is active in research and contributing articles to major orthopaedic publications. He holds various teaching faculty roles and is dedicated to evidence-based medicine, as well as mentoring the next generation of surgeons.
